The Elysian Singers (Wetherby)

The Elysian Singers (Wetherby) is a mixed-voice choir of about 30 voices. We are based in Wetherby in West Yorkshire. Our Musical Director is Jonathan Power. In 2024 we celebrated our 50th anniversary. Most of our singing is unaccompanied.
Our repertoire stretches from the 16th to the 21st centuries, and includes sacred and secular music, serious and popular.
We meet to practise every Thursday in school term time in St James Church Hall, Wetherby, from 7.30 to 9.30 pm.
Calling all singers!
Our choir is always open to new members. Choral experience and the ability to read music are beneficial but not essential. We would especially welcome tenors. This would give us more flexibility in singing double choir pieces. (As with so many choirs, we are always keen to augment our tenor line.) So, if you fancy giving us a try, a warm welcome awaits you.
